We are delighted to launch the 2020-21 issue of The Shepherdian publication with a slightly new look and design this year. The new edition of The Shepherdian was published online on 19th June 2021 with an objective to highlight student achievements, commemorate the events and ceremonies of the past year, and to represent the team and community of the Good Shepherd International School.

Dr. Cyrus S. Poonawalla, the Founder of the Serum Institute of India, world’s largest manufacturer of COVID-19 vaccines, visited GSIS Ooty on 25th March. It was a great experience to have him on the campus and speak to our prefects along with taking a tour of the GSIS campus.

GSIS is proud to announce that in the Academic Year commencing in July 2021, we will be offering the IB Primary Years (PYP) and Middle Years Program (MYP) for Grades 3-8, to enhance our already established IB Curriculum, which in the past included only the IB Diploma Program in Grades 11 & 12.  

GSIS’ Fernhill Campus Turns Into A Quarantine Facility

Although the Nilgiris was considered Covid-free till June 15, it has been witnessing a spike in numbers. To deal with the pandemic, the district administration has roped in as many as eight schools including GSIS to convert their campuses as a centre for asymptomatic patients.
