What Our Campers Say

The first step involves filling out the inquiry form available on the admissions page, and verifying the email id and phone number. This allows parents and students to express interest and receive additional details about the school.

Once the inquiry is made, the registration process begins. Parents are required to upload the student’s mark sheets for the past three years and complete the registration payment of INR 30,000. After that, an appointment for a campus visit can be booked online using the calendar provided.

Note: We welcome no more than three family members (child, father, and mother) for the campus visit, but grandparents are welcome to join.

Before the visit, the admissions team will review the application, including the student’s previous academic records and pre medical forms.

Two-Day Visit Itinerary:
Day 1:

  • 09:00 am: Arrival at the campus.
  • 09:10 – 11:50 am: Aptitude test for the student.
  • 12:00 – 01:00 pm: Guided tour of the campus and a meeting with the Resident Medical Officer (RMO).
  • 01:00 – 01:30 pm: Lunch break.
  • 01:45 – 02:00 pm: Meeting with the Director of Activities.

Day 2:

At GSIS, safety is a top priority. The campus is secured by a dedicated team of 70 guards, 6 supervisors, and a security officer, working round-the-clock to maintain a safe environment. Over 700 strategically placed CCTV cameras provide comprehensive surveillance, enabling the security team to respond effectively to any emergencies and ensure the safety of students, staff, and campus property.

To ensure safety, the school employs controlled access to boarding houses, 24/7 supervision by caring staff, and regular safety drills. These measures are further enhanced by CCTV surveillance and trained security personnel, ensuring a safe and secure residential environment for all students. The school has its own fully-equipped fire truck to deal with emergencies.

How much access do students have to the internet, social media, and television?

At GSIS, students’ access to the internet is carefully monitored and restricted to ensure its use for educational purposes only. Social media access is not permitted, fostering a focused and distraction-free environment. Students are not permitted to use their mobile phones, which are handed over to the school for safekeeping until vacation breaks.

Televisions are installed in all boarding houses in dedicated recreation spaces, offering age-appropriate content under the supervision of the boarding house parent. Our on-campus infirmaries provide accessible healthcare services with dedicated facilities for boys and girls, including 80 beds for when overnight care is necessary. The infirmaries are staffed 24/7 by two resident medical officers, ten nurses, and four ward assistants, ensuring continuous care. In addition to physicians and counselors who are on-call around the clock to handle emergencies, the school has a fully-equipped ambulance to transport patients that need advanced care to private hospitals.

What kind of meals are provided, and are there options for special dietary requirements?

We provide a diverse and nutritious menu crafted from fresh farm produce. Our F&B team accommodates a variety of dietary preferences, including vegetarian, egg-vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and Jain options. Are students permitted to leave the campus?

Students are not permitted to leave our vast 100 acre campus, except for competitions when they are accompanied by chaperones from the school. However, exceptions are made under specific circumstances:

  • Serious Illness: Parents may take their child for specialist medical care during the school year with approval from the School’s Resident Medical Officer (RMO).
  • Leave Policy: Leave is granted only for the following reasons:
    • Weddings of direct siblings.
    • Serious medical conditions affecting the student or immediate family.
    • Demise of parents or grandparents.
    • Leave is not permitted for any other events outside these categories.
