GSIS to Host the Third Edition of TEDx in September This Year
We are thrilled to announce that GSIS will be hosting its third TEDx event on September 14, 2024. TEDx@GSIS, a student-led initiative, continues to serve as a platform for brilliant speakers from diverse backgrounds to present their innovative and ground-breaking ideas – Ideas Worth Sharing. This event is an excellent opportunity to deepen engagement among our students, staff, and alumni, fostering meaningful conversations, building lasting connections, and promoting a vibrant culture of innovation.
This year, we are thrilled to announce the TEDx event at Good Shepherd International School, titled Faces, Spaces, and Places. This title reflects the diverse perspectives, environments, and locations that shape our world and influence our thinking. As we gather to explore these concepts, our stage will be graced by 9 incredible speakers, each bringing a wealth of knowledge and exciting ideas that promise to inspire and challenge our understanding of the world.
Exploring Faces, Spaces, and Places
Faces, Spaces, and Places invites us to look at the world from multiple vantage points. Faces represent the individuals who are the drivers of change, each with a unique story to tell. Spaces symbolize the environments—physical, digital, or metaphorical—where these stories unfold and ideas come to life. Lastly, Places take us to specific locations around the globe, highlighting how geography, culture, and history play a role in shaping thought and innovation.
Our speakers come from various backgrounds, each bringing a distinct perspective that ties into this theme. Whether discussing the impact of technology on personal identity, the importance of sustainable living spaces, or the cultural significance of certain places, their talks promise to spark meaningful conversations and inspire action.
