The International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum is an internationally recognized school curriculum for students aged 3 to 19. A part of a world-renowned education framework, the International Baccalaureate offers schools a continuum of four programmes, each with a comprehensive and balanced curriculum and challenging assessments that foster the critical thinking skills, curiosity, and a healthy learning appetite in children. The IB offers the: IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP).

GSIS kickstarted its IB program with the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) in 2001. Currently, GSIS is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and we are pursuing authorization as an IB World School. As an IB continuum school, we will become the 41st school in India to offer three of the four programs that the IB program offers, making our IB program contiguous from Grades 3 to 12.

An authorized IB school since 2001, GSIS offers the highly recognized International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) for students in the age group of 16 to 19 years. An IB Diploma is not about merely learning and memorizing facts and figures; it teaches your children to think differently. A unique two-year academic programme, IBDP curriculum fosters the physical, emotional and intellectual development of students. Backed by a structured approach, a holistic framework, a tech-savvy environment and cutting-edge facilities and infrastructure, we offer our students the perfect platform for experiential learning, enriching their educational experiences through application of knowledge and skills.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) is offered to students in grades 6 – 10, aged 11 – 16. As a candidate school for MYP, GSIS has started its program with MYP 1, 2 and 3, i.e., Grade 6, 7 and 8, and will add MYP 4 in the AY 2022-23. An educational framework that encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world, MYP helps students become internationally minded young people with cross-cultural understanding, empathetic, able decision makers and who can pursue lives of purpose and meaning. The global culture at GSIS, with residential students from 30+ nationalities living and growing together on one campus, further enhances the two main virtues of the MYP: inclusion and diversity.
We believe that real education begins with observing the world around us, and real transformation should happen at the grassroots level. GSIS has always been committed to the upliftment of the marginalized and underprivileged sections of the society to drive positive change in our society. As part of our community services, we organize weekly trips to orphanages and old age homes for our students, where they contribute their old clothes and stationery to charity. It is a great eye-opener for our students and a hugely empowering act as well.
As part of our holistic approach to education, we continuously place emphasis on extracurricular activities as they provide tremendous opportunities for our students to develop their interests. We offer 40 + co-curricular activities and facilities of global standards for various indoor and outdoor sports, athletics, swimming, golf, rifle shooting, and yoga. In addition to regular inter-house competitions, students are offered the opportunity to participate in district, state and national level competitions.
